Krista Contino Saumby, J.D.

Professional Attorney Educator

Krista is a professional attorney educator focusing on the first years of an attorney’s career. Her passion is to help first-generation law students navigate the new world of the legal profession. Krista’s mission is to demystify the culture and provide steady footing to bridge the transition from hard-working student to successful attorney.

She has experience in law firms, including big, boutique, and her own firm, the government, non-profits, and a Fortune 500 company. She has worked with numerous law students to provide experiences which expose them to the inner workings of the profession. Most notably, Krista worked with the Hispanic National Bar Association to help found their Intellectual Property Law Institute in 2012.

Krista has a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Technical Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
